San is originally from Sri Lanka. He graduated from St. Petersburg College as a registered nurse in 2018 and went on to work as a psychiatric nurse for over five years. In 2023, he earned his degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from Wilkes University, gaining valuable experience working under seasoned psychiatrists and treating patients across the lifespan.
He provides care to individuals ranging from children as young as six to adults in their 80s, addressing conditions such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, thought disorders, and ADHD. San is passionate about promoting mental health and empowering patients to become advocates for their well-being.
While he recognizes that medication management can be essential for symptom control, San believes in treating the whole person. He emphasizes the importance of proper nutrition, restorative sleep, regular exercise, and therapy, and he works collaboratively with other disciplines to help patients achieve optimal mental health.
Beyond his clinical background, San has spent more than three decades studying Eastern philosophy, including meditation, and has extensive experience teaching meditation practices.
