The Neuropsychiatry & TMS Group (TNP), an outpatient psychiatry practice, was founded by Dr. Faizi Ahmed in 2016 in Tampa, FL. He is a board-certified psychiatrist and fellowship-trained from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He holds a faculty position as Assistant Professor of Behavioral Sciences at the University of South Florida. Since 2016, the practice has expanded to three locations: Tampa, St Petersburg, and Brandon. At TNP, we diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. We see our established patients on a regular basis, ranging from every two weeks to every 3 months. We utilize pharmacologic strategies to treat psychiatric disorders, neuromodulation strategies such as rTMS, and esketamine (Spravato). We also assess for a need for psychotherapy (counseling, therapy), which specific modalities of psychotherapy are needed (eg. psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, etc), and refer to our esteemed local colleagues.
