Dr. Lewis was born and raised in sunny Florida.
She completed her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Behavior at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida.
Dr. Lewis attended Ross University School of Medicine where she was awarded the Deans Honor Roll and graduated with Highest Honors. She completed psychiatry residency training at University of Central Florida HCA GME.
During residency training, she participated in quality improvement projects, committees and multiple scholarly posters. She represented her program at Florida Psychiatric Society’s Spring CME Meeting and Expo where she received an award for exemplary scholar poster and presentation. To add, Dr. Lewis is an active member of the Florida Psychiatric Society, American Psychiatric Association and volunteered with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).
Dr. Lewis held the esteemed position of administrative chief psychiatry resident at her residency program and has attained skills in psychotherapeutic treatment modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive therapy and psychodynamic therapy. These skills have enabled her to successfully manage psychotherapy patients and incorporate her aforementioned skills into beneficial outcomes. Dr. Lewis has worked with various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and manages anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, psychosis.
Dr. Lewis works together with her patients to build a collaborative and safe experience. She prioritizes the maintenance of a caring, respectful, tolerant and compassionate attitude towards others. Furthermore, she believes it is a privilege to work with each of her patients and takes great pride in working alongside on their mental health journey.
