Prior to becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Jennifer spent 22 years working in emergency nursing, caring for patients across a wide range of ages and clinical needs. Her extensive emergency department experience includes the care of adult and geriatric patients, pediatric trauma patients, and individuals experiencing psychiatric and behavioral health crises. This experience strengthened her skills in comprehensive assessment, crisis intervention, critical thinking, and providing compassionate care during some of the most challenging moments in a patient's life.
Jennifer believes that effective mental health care begins with building a trusting, respectful relationship with each patient. She takes a collaborative and individualized approach to treatment, recognizing that every person has unique experiences, needs, and goals. She strives to create a supportive environment where patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their care.
Outside of her professional life, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and dogs. She values family, meaningful relationships, and maintaining balance in life.

Dr. Humerickhouse Is the best doctor I’ve ever had in any discipline, and it isn’t even close. It is not hyperbole to say that she has saved my life on countless occasions, and I am eternally grateful to her. dr. Ahmed is also a fantastic clinician. The only reason I did not rate this five stars is that their office policy of charging $150 for ADA documentation and $120 for FMLA documentation is incredibly steep, and as somebody who does not have a lot of money, this process put me in a difficult financial position on two occasions now.
